Careers in Modelling


Modelling is one of the most popular career options among youngsters in India. This profession attracts males and females equally, though there was a time when females dominated the field. With the increasing exposure of media around the India there has been a fabulous boost in the ad industry. As new products are launched everyday, companies need fresh faces for their advertisements and they look for new models to advertise their products. On the other hand increasing influence of fashion industry has attracted a lot of young people to this sector.   
Modelling is a glamorous field it offers many opportunities to travel and meet different classes of people. It is one of the highest paid career options for youth. It is a very competitive and short- lived career. There is too much stress in this profession and working hours are erratic.  This work requires a lot of stamina and patience.
In this profession educational qualifications are not important but the physical attributes and personal qualities are more important.
The modelling can be classified into ramp modelling, television modelling and print modelling.

Eligibility

As such there is no pre defined qualification or age limit to enter into this field. A person has to prepare a portfolio of photographs taken by a professional photographer. This portfolio can then be shown to a model co-ordinating, an advertising agency, agency providing suitable models according to requirements, or a fashion designer. A person can also enter in this field by applying for the contests sponsored by cloth manufactures, magazines, cosmetic companies and participating in beauty pageants.

The various training programs available in market provides instructions on make-up, beauty care, hair styling, diet and exercise, how to walk and carry yourself elegantly and so on.

Personal characteristics
The main quality required to become a model is a good and healthy body and complexion. A model should be tall, height criteria for women is 5'7" to 6' or 6' plus and for a man it is 6' or 6' plus and he should be muscular.

Remuneration

The sum of money paid to models depends upon the prestige of the magazine and who is the organizer of that particular event. Females are paid more then man in this field. Careers in Hardware & Networking


A career in hardware and networking is lucrative as well as rewarding. A professional who is well educated in computer hardware and networking is known as hardware and networking engineers. Computer hardware is the combination of various physical parts of a computer while networking includes linking a group of two or more computer systems for the purpose of sharing information and data. A trained hardware and networking person is one who can repair a computer and can network the computers.

Careers in Banking


Due to the liberalization of Indian economy, the economic activities increase in our country to a great extent which leads to the demand of more and more financial and banking services. Further the development of latest computer technology helped banking services to reach to a wider market. All this lead to more demand for trained banking professionals. And many public and private sector started recruiting new people to meet the market demand.   There are various levels at which a person can join the bank namely clerk, a Grade I officer, a Grade II officer or as a manager.

How to become a banker
The recruitment of Probationary Officer in public sector banks is based on written examination and Interview. For most of the entrance examination conducted by the public sector banks, including Common Written Exam conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, graduates in any discipline are eligible, irrespective of the marks secured in the same.
But, having a good academic record surely helps in the later stage of the selection procedure, but as far as the initial stage is concerned, no matter how much you scored, you are eligible to apply for the examination.

For clerical positions one need to be graduate and clear the written exam and interview conducted by banks.

Role of a Manager: -
A bank manager is responsible for people, profit, and resource management and strategic planning to generate profits.
